The Merdon Bowmen AGM will be held on Monday 31st August 2026 on the club field, all members are encouraged to attend:
10:00 Club Fun Shoot
12:00 ‘BBQ’ style lunch served
13:00 Merdon Bowmen AGM.
The Club Fun shoot uses Club equipment ONLY as each activity is setup for fun. (Competitive optional).
The current committee will stand down and the next committee needs to be voted in.
There are 4 committee positions that have to be filled for the club to continue:
- Chairman
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Safeguarding Officer
Merdon Bowmen has 6 further committee positions to help run the club:
- Equipment Officer
- Field Officer
- Records Officer
- Tournament Secretary
- Training Officer
- Shooting Members (2)
Any members that would like to stand for a committee role can you let me know before the AGM.
A description of the roles are provided in the club constitution under ‘Duties of the Club Officers’
Both club and affiliation fees will be due on this day.

Archers who do not pay their fees will not be allowed to shoot at the Club after the end of September.
A full agenda will be emailed to members before the AGM.
Please make every effort to attend so that you can have an input into the running of your club for the next year.

At the AGM the present Committee will stand down. If you feel that there is a job you can do on the new Committee to help the club please put your name on the list below, or if there is anyone you would like to nominate for a particular job please ask them if they are willing to be nominated before putting their name on the list. If there is more than one candidate for a particular role the members will be asked to vote at the AGM
