40th Anniversary of the Agincourt Arrow Tournament was held at the club field today. A full field of archers shot the customary Long National round in overcast conditions. The round was completed before the rain arrived as we neared the end of the awards. Lord Patron and Lady Paramount

Today’s Summer Championship final was attended by 10 archers in sunny if a little windy weather. Records Officer Phil Stringer confirmed that there were 5 archers who had shot the required 3 qualifying rounds. Due to the handicap style of the championship, archers were free to choose the western of
11 archers turned out today for a FITA 70 round. We decided to spread out to keep the shooting at one detail which meant the field was so busy we had to get out another boss from the equipment she’d to keep new boy Adrian happy shooting at 30 meters
we welcome to Merdon this month two new members, Sam and Adrian. They finished their beginners course and decided to join our band of merry archers (I am not referring to all the beer that some members seem to drink). Welcome to our club and happy shooting.
One of the foam targets has had its core replaced today as we were getting arrows nearly passing through and I would like to thank Sarah (my other half) for cleaning the club hut this morning. Please keep it clean or she will have my guts for garters Jon
The awful weather this morning resulted in today’s club shoot being abandoned.
A turn out of 8 archers today with five of then achieving fist class scores! Ed Micklewright achieved his first First Class qualifying score. Jon Dawkins and Rob Norris both achieved their third First Class scores of the season! Trevor Chalk continued as top shooter and scored yet another first class
The scheduled early start York Round on 3rd August is being replaced with a Long National. As usual, assembly will be at 10:00 and start at 10:15.
